Porter decided that for his birthday this year he wanted to have a construction theme. 
He loves tractors, trucks and dirt. :) 
He asked mommy to make him a tractor cake and mommy reluctantly agreed. 
It's not too pretty but at least he was happy with it. 
We got the house all decorated and waited for the guests to arrive.
Hard hats were required so Abi passed out safety goggles and hard hats as everyone arrived.
Even Tate got a hard hat. 
Our construction project for the day was painting birdhouses. 
The kids got suited up in their fashionable garbage bags and sat down to paint. 
They all did a really good job. 
The mess wasn't nearly as bad as I was expecting either.

He was so excited to play with all his new stuff. 
The kids could hardly wait to eat cake and ice cream so we brought out the cake and sang Happy Birthday.
Porter felt pretty special. 
He blew out his candles and made a wish.
Daddy cut the cake and gave everyone a piece.
The cake may not have been too pretty but it sure must have tasted good the way they were chowing down!

Matthew was so sad that he missed Porter's party. He even tried to volunteer to stay behind from Grandma and Grandpa's house so he could go! Next year!
Katelyn was so BUMMED that she missed the party! We hardly ever go any where; I'll tell Lynn's relatives to plan their weddings more conviently next time. LOL Looks like you had a good turnout and everyone had fun!
