Abi's Rock Star Birthday Party

Abi turned 7 this year and she knew that she wanted to have a "Rock Star" birthday party.
She had her outfit all picked out a few days before it even started.
She and the boys even picked out tattoos to wear.
She helped me make all the decorations.
She cut out all the stars by herself.
She even helped pick out what her birthday cake was going to look like.
She picked out all the sprinkle colors.
Here she is with her birthday cake.
We decorated the front door so all the guests would know they had arrived at the party.
It was the backstage pass for all the rock stars.  :)
We started out the party by having all the girls rock out with the microphone.

The little machine also showed them on the TV screen and they loved that.
We had some great singers
And some great dancers.
It was a fun thing to do until everyone had arrived.
Next we sat down at the table and started our craft project.
The girls made little rock star flip flops be tying fabric around the shoes.
I was surprised at how fast they were able to get them done.
Even with all of the joking around.  :)
They each made their own patterns.
It was so funny for Matt and I to listen to their little conversations.
Most of them were about "iCarly" or "Hannah Montana".
This is what the final froduct looked like.
Here they all are modeling their new shoes.
Next, each of the girls picked out their own rock star tattoos.
After many requests, it was time for the cake.
We sang "Happy Birthday" and Abi blew out her candles.
I guess the cake must have tasted good because the girls chowed down and some even had second helpings.
Finally it was time for presents and I made sure to get a picture of Abi and each of her friends as she opened their gift.
They couldn't wait to play with all the new toys!
Her friends were a little TOO good to her and here is her birthday haul.
Her friends were so sweet to come to her party and here is the whole group all together.
