Abi Gets Her Ears Pierced

We told Abi that she could not get her ears pierced until she turned 8.  She's been dying to have them done for a couple of years now and the time was coming up fast.  She was a little sad that we would be having a family picture done right before she turned 8 and that she wouldn't have her earring in yet so we told her that we would take her a bit early and have them done.
She was so excited as she climbed up in the seat at Claire's in the mall.
She picked out her studs, they marked her ears and then a girl got on each side to do both ears at once.  (You can see that she's starting to get a little concerned at this point!)

They counted to three and BAM!
She was really mad at mom at that point because I had told her it wouldn't hurt that much and she said, "OUCH!  That HURT!"  She also said, "I didn't say you could do both ears!"  :)
She got a good cry out for a second and then she was happy when she looked in the mirror and saw her beautiful earrings.
She got a fun little sack of goodies and ear care products and we let her pick out a few fun earrings from inside the store.
We did a little more shopping in the mall and by the time we headed out   to the car she announced that her ears didn't hurt at all anymore.  :)  She has darling little crystal flowers in her ears and she looks so grown-up!

Taylor's been talking a little about doing that as well lately. So far we haven't made it over to the store to get it done but maybe sometime this summer.
