Abigail's 9th Birthday

Miss Abigail turned 9 this year and she's had her party all planned for about a year now.  :)  She didn't want to send out the invites for the party until school had started so she could decided which friends to invite.  

On her actual birthday we strung balloons in front of her door to surprise her when she woke up.

She really liked that surprise.

We didn't do much more than that and she got to pick her dessert for the evening.  She chose key lime pie and we put candles in it for her to blow out.  

Abi decided to have a roller skating party at Crystal Palace this year.  

She also wanted a zebra party so we just tried to combine the two.  Here is her invitation to the party.

We had a great turn out and only one of her friends was unable to come. 

They all got their skates on and headed out to the rink.

Many of the girls had skated before but even the new ones loved it.

The girls played lots of games, made lots of musical requests,

 and ate lots of food!

They didn't waste too much time eating before they were back out on the rink.

It was so fun to watch them all dance and skate.

They would sing along to all the songs too.

Even the boys decided to give skating a try.  Porter picked it up pretty quickly.

Bridger, on the other hand, spent a lot of time on his bum but he didn't complain a bit!

 The skating rink did not allow us to bring in a big cake so I didn't have to make one for Abi this year!  (That didn't break my heart at all!)  

 Everyone sang "Happy Birthday", they had their cupcakes and ice cream, and then it was time for presents.

I was amazed at the amazing gifts she got this year.  She has some thoughtful friends!

(I guess people got the idea that she LOVES zebra stuff!)
