Our Utah trip started out with Porter losing his second tooth. (Don't you just love this picture!)
He said his tooth was a little bit loose so Grandpa volunteered to pull it out with some pliers. Porter was excited about the idea and that's exactly what happened! Grandpa Jerry grabbed a pair of pliers and out popped the tooth. Porter didn't even flinch - crazy kid!
It seems like someone always loses and tooth when we're with the Grandparents. :)
The kids were actually excited to wear their turkey shirts I made for them.
They would hate it in a few years so I have to do it while I can!
We were all dressed and ready to go so we headed over to Matt's parents for Thanksgiving dinner.
The house smelled wonderful as you walked in and the food and turkey was absolutely delicious!
It was so fun to get to see everyone again and all of the nieces and nephews have grown so much! Here they are seated at the infamous "kid's table".
We also celebrated Uncle Paul and Tate's birthdays while we were together. Uncle Paul's was on the 27th and Tate's was on the 28th.
Tate got some really fun gifts from everyone and he loved all the attention.
We didn't even have to go to sleep before heading out on our Black Friday shopping adventure because it all started at 10:00pm on Thanksgiving night. Matt wasn't thrilled about heading to the stores on a holiday but it was nice to be in bed by 1:00am instead of waking up then. It was a crazy and chaotic experience but we got almost everything on our list and found some great buys.
On Saturday we went to our annual Morton Family Play at the Desert Star Theater. This year it was "It's a Wonderful Life" and it was so much fun to get out with just the adults. (This picture is darling but somehow Bill got left out of it on the side - he's sitting right next to Sherry.)
Tate got to celebrate his birthday with the Smith grandparents too and he was excited to open another present.
He was thrilled to open it up and find a talking Chuck truck. He played with that for the rest of the day.
It seems like our Utah trips always fly by so fast but we had to leave first thing on Sunday morning because the kids had to get ready for school the next day. At least we don't have to wait too long to see everyone again because we'll be back up right after Christmas.
