More December Fun

This is the last post of our December fun before Christmas officially started and we headed off to Utah.  I'm sorry to be playing so much catch-up but it is nice to finally get some of these things posted!
We got our lights up this year and Matt built some frames to fit into our upper windows which really added to the whole look.
We also got some new stockings this year because we didn't have nearly enough of our old ones.  I want to do something a bit more creative with these stockings eventually but for now they each just have a monogram letter hanging on them.  (Yes there are 7 and no, I'm not pregnant.  I just wanted to be prepared if another little Morton comes along in the future.)
The kids had "T'was the Night Before Christmas" day at their school and they got to wear jammies, slippers and take a pillow.  We used to cal these days "Read-a-thons" back when I was in elementary.
We actually got quite a few carolers to our house this year but the Scott family was by far the most enthusiastic!  :)
The kids were anticipating the Santa Train all year long so we couldn't miss out.
This year we even went and looked at the fun train museum where they have lots of miaiture train sets that are pretty amazing.
They have so much fun on the Boulder City Train and they especially love it when Santa and Mrs. Clause ride along.
We sat out in one of the open cars and the kids like these ones the best because they get to feel the wind as we move.
My boys definitely love their trains!
The kids got so excited when they heard Santa's bells coming onto our car.  They couldn't wait to get to see him!
Santa and Mrs. Clause stopped and took pictures with all of the families on the train and they were so cute.
The kids told Santa what they wanted for Christmas and they each promised to be good.  (They held to that promise too!)
I don't know where Mrs. Clause got her perfume but she seriously smelled like freshly baked cookies.
Tate really liked here.  :)
We had a fun ride on the train and then a nice lunch at our favorite McDonald's in Boulder City.
We were lucky to be able to see Santa one more time at our ward Christmas party.
Abi asked Santa for a pogo stick and a surprise.
Porter asked Santa for some Legos
Bridger asked Santa for a Battle T-Rex Dinosaur.
Tate didn't ask Santa for anything but I'm sure Santa has a special surprise for him.
The boys were trying so hard to be on good behavior because Santa was at the party but it's so hard to be good when all of your friends are there to play with you.  :)
A couple days before Christmas we went down to the Bellagio with some of my friends and their kids.
They have a GIGANTIC Christmas tree and a bunch of displays there in their atrium area.
I dyed my hair brown that afternoon too so it was fun to go out as a brunette for my first time.  :)
Abi was excited because she got to spend the evening with a bunch of her friends.
The kids loved looking at the train, the penguins, the polar bears, and all of the other fun displays.
You never know who you're going to see in downtown Las Vegas.  This is Jose Conseco and he's breaking the rules in this picture by reaching into the fountain when there are tons of signs posted prohibiting such things...  he likes to break a lot of rules apparently.)
We finished off the evening by going down to Town Square for some frozen yogurt and playtime in the park.  It was a great night out with friends.
