Porter decided that he wanted to do a Spiderman party this year and luckily he wasn't too picky about things because we were very limited on preparation time.
He even had a Spiderman costume that he wanted to wear for the party.
He had a great group of friends that were able to come and they all had a lot of fun.
We started off by playing "Pin the Spider on the Web".
I then told them all a story about a criminal that was loose in the streets of Amber Ridge and told them how I needed some spider heroes to trap him with their spider strings.
The kids wasted no time and went after the criminal like crazy!
That was definitely the favorite activity and Porter loved all the silly string.
Pretty soon it was time for the pinata and all the kids waited in line nicely and took turns.
Porter got to be the one that broke the pinata open and he loved that.
The kids were like hungry sharks after the candy and goodies from inside.
Right before we sang to Porter we gave him a special birthday ribbon to wear.
This would be silly to most but Porter felt so special with it. :) (It's the little things he loves!)
We made cupcakes for the kids to eat and a small cake for Porter.
We sang to him and he blew out his candle.
After cake and ice cream he got to open his presents and he was spoiled with wonderful gifts!
Here's his birthday haul.
We handed out goodie bags and let the kids play for a few minutes until their parents came to pick them up.
Porter had so much fun at his party and he spent the rest of the day playing with his new toys.
He's also taken a special liking to his new explorer kit and has been going on "expeditions" every afternoon since his party!
