Summer Fun

August has been a fun month for us - a very FAST month but a very fun month!

There has, of course, been lots of swimming!

Whether it's been at hotels, neighbors, the beach, or the club, the kids have definitely been swimming A LOT!

Bridger still relies on his life jacket a bit but Abi and Porter are totally independent swimmers.

Porter had so much fun fishing in Utah that he's decided to continue practicing his new hobby in the pool.  :) 

We were able to have our good friends, the Speths, come down for a visit too. 

Our kids are all around the same ages and they really got along well. 

Abi was so excited to have some girls to play with! 

Tater-Tot made a great little buddy in Ammon too!

The kids have really enjoyed spending all their time together and I have to say that they've really been playing well together. 

We had a list of summer activities we wanted to accomplish and we got most of them done!  The kids seem to like the ones that involve food the best.  (Here we used our mini muffin maker to do some cupcakes and they are decorating them.)

Matt also had something exciting happen - he got a new car!

We've named it the "Black Pearl" because our family car is "Pearl" and the kids say they're related because they both have wood grain inside of them.  :)

We'll miss the red race car but Matt definitely has fun driving this new one!

And look at this... two cars in our garage!  That never happens because the kids park their bikes in the way but we've moved them over into the third car area.  (Well, at least while Matt's in town.)

And finally, summer ended with one final tooth coming out! 

Porter just grabs on his teeth and rips them right out when he feels like they're ready.  Abi is just the opposite and makes it sit all loosey-goosey in her mouth until it falls out. 

It's sad to say goodbye to summer but I'm ready for the routine of school to begin again!
